In September 2013, I embarked my brand new life.
I guess it all happened around the cliche “mid-life crisis” period but I decided that, although the first of my life had been a grand adventure, I was ready to do something completely different. I decided to emerge from my hippie-upbringing, environmentalist cocoon and flutter into the world of technology and rapid innovation.
This world became a twinkle in my eye when I started my first blog three years ago and has evolved into a full-blown investment to reinvent myself. I am currently enrolled in the Communications Leadership Masters Program at the University of Washington in Seattle. I am part of Cohort 13 and am specializing in Digital Communications.
My second-life dream career is as a social media coach and strategist helping specialty niche brands and bloggers unite to improve the lives of pets, pet parents and change the world.

This is the Action Idea, the narrative, which will inspire me throughout the Masters of Communication in Digital Media program:
Restless and compelled by a need for personal change, Jessica leaves her 10-year career for the unknown. Yearning to be immersed in the flow of the rapidly-changing world and to help shape the new reality, she embarks on the adventure of earning her Masters in Digital Communications from the University of Washington. Ultimately, she starts her own small-business consulting firm to help game-changing visions, ideas or products spread like wildfire and change the world.
